Having teased the lynching tree backdrop on his website earlier today, Kanye West teamed up with his creative force DONDA for striking performance of “Blood on the Leaves” for todays MTV Video Music Awards. West, who appeared simply as a silhouette upon the art work backdrop designed by Steve McQueen, executed a hauntingly powerful live performance, which earned him the “best performance” title from beau Kim Kardashian.
