Courting Phillip Lim wasn’t easy. Target first put a bulls eye on Lim five years ago, but the retailer’s hard work — and patience — will finally pay off this fall with an exclusive collaboration for both men and women. “Phillip is a designer we’ve had our eye on for years. His aesthetic is modern and sophisticated, and he shares Target’s vision of democratizing design,” said Trish Adams, senior vice president of merchandising for Target. Available on September 15, the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection will feature 100 pieces ranging in price from $20 to $300, including runway-ready sneakers, bags and intimates. The color palette, meanwhile, features classic fall shades and mirrors the sophistication of the clothes with neutral tones and prints.
