Kings of Leon - Supersoaker

Last month at Governors Ball in New York, Kings of Leon premiered a new song live in the midst of the Tropical Storm Andrea-ridden weekend. Now, we’ve received the studio quality version of it. The name of it is “Supersoaker” and it’s the first single from their upcoming sixth album, Mechanical Bull, due out September 24. With a nice balance of Southern vibes and stadium rock sound, the track is unmistakably Kings of Leon and may even be considered somewhat of a return to form by longtime fans of the Tennessee band who have been craving for a sonic punch similar to tracks found on their earlier albums. Will Mechanical Bull serve that purpose and also be a welcomed follow-up to 2010’s Grammy-nominated, chart-topping Come Around Sundown? We’ll see soon enough.
