Veja‘s Parisian retail project Centre Commercial has launched its very own in-house publication, aptly dubbed Centre Commercial Magazine. Making its debut for Fall/Winter 2013, the first issue of the advertisement-free magazine boasts 172 pages of international coverage and seeks to explore topics which are too often “invisible to the eyes.” As such, issue #1 includes interviews with Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean and Alexandre Guarneri of Homecore, a report on “cold water” surfers, a focus piece on Brooklyn-based leather bag crafter Chris Grodzki, a visit to a Finnish nuclear waste site, and an exploration of the Lykov family – a collective that lived for four decades in the thick of the Russian Taiga without any contact with the modern world. The first issue of the biannual, French Centre Commercial Magazine is now available online for €15 EUR (approximately $20 USD).
