Considering that ice hockey doesn’t frequently come up in discussions about hip-hop culture, Casely-Hayford‘s exploration of the sport via their collection for Fall/Winter 2013 is especially interesting. The revered English father-son design duo has summarized their latest designs in a new lookbook, blurring the line between contemporary, casual and formal fashion with their take on sportswear staples. Here we find the brand taking silhouette cues from ’90s hockey uniforms and hip-hop attitude, reworking both ideas into new offerings by borrowing rectangular and stripe motifs, decidedly baggy trousers, and multi-layered styles from the sport.
