It turns out the previously rumored date for Arcade Fire‘s followup album to The Suburbs was false. Today, the group responded to a fan’s compliment on Twitter by announcing that the official release date of their fourth studio album is October 29. James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem worked with the band on the album at DFA Studios. This is a change from their last two albums, The Suburbs and Neon Bible, which were both recorded at Arcade Fire’s church studio. We look forward to seeing what a change in scenery does to the band’s music.
