Unbelievable Testing Laboratory is set to finally release its Tyvek paper shoes as part of an initiative with Kickstarter. Weighing in at only 150g, the Light Wing was the brainchild of founder Token Hu, who began experimenting with Dupont-made Tyvek material when he was working at frog design. Although Tyvek is conveniently touted as being paper due to its similarity in appearance and texture, the material is actually made of high-density polyethylene fibers and is commonly used as insulation for homes. In addition to its aforementioned lightweight properties, it is not only waterproof but highly breathable as well. The first edition of the Light Wing to be released, The Pencil, is already on its way to production, but backers for the project can still have a chance to contribute and get their pair of the 2013 to be made.
