Hong Kong’s The Armoury steps outside – though not far – of its comfort zone to delve into the realm of video production, teaming up with filmmaker Gianluca Migliarotti to produce a new documentary on one of the world’s best tailors. Antonio Liverano arrived in Florence around 1950, where he immediately found his place within the deep-seeded tailoring culture in Italy. “Antonio’s Color” is a documentary, or rather, a snapshot of the illustrious life of Liverano, detailing his influences, background and history with the same kind of meticulous attention as the clothes the master crafts himself. A fitting overlap with The Armoury’s obsession with artisan clothing, the trailer for the film has been released, with the full piece releasing on DVD via the brand’s web store July 31.
