As the way we consume information changes, so too do the intangibles translate to digital forms – things like entrepreneurial gusto and business savvy are becoming easier to pick up. It’s probably safe to say that jeffstaple, founder of Staple Design, knows a bit about starting a company, having successfully brought the brand from a line of 12 silk-screened T-shirts to an internationally renowned streetwear…staple. Here we find Jeff leading a design-based course via Skillshare, helping young entrepreneurs grow their business. Through video lectures, digital handouts and extensive role descriptions, the class looks to be a great hands-on experience that simulates a live classroom. Here’s the kicker though: not unlike many other professors, jeffstaple is a man who fosters the best of his students through competition. Toward the end of the course, Staple Design, along with the rest of the Skillshare community, will handpick three of the best brands from the class, mentoring each one individually. One grand prize winner will get the opportunity to debut his or her product at a well-known Las Vegas trade show in February. For this rare opportunity, be sure to sign up for the course via Skillshare here, which begins on Monday, July 22.
