New releases from the recently minted Kinkle Workshop were unveiled today, delivered as a part of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection. The Shanghai-based footwear brand is the brainchild of designer Kim Kiroic, and since its inception has made waves for its unique, standout takes on classic silhouettes. For the new season, Kinkle Workshop considers the idea of the boot, which has been reinterpreted in several new renditions. Here we find a paint-wash motif running prominently across high-top boots, derby shoes and sneakers, incorporating various aspects of the work boot into their composition. Made of premium leather on the exterior and lined with plush materials, the shoes are finished with Kinkle’s extended, wrapping shoelaces, which do well to add a mystical, fantastic aspect to the pieces.
