So it looks like the artwork that surfaced along with the “No Pre-Orders” announcement for Kanye West‘s upcoming album Yeezus is the official artwork and packaging. Initially, the rumored cover art for the album featured a melted golden bust, but taking to his Twitter earlier today, Yeezy put the rumor to rest. The official packaging will simply see a clear jewel case and a red piece of tape with the words “Yeezus” written across. Ye shared a link to his KanyeWest.com website with a high quality image of the album, and to further build up the anticipation for his June 18 release, when you hover your mouse over the LP, a snippet of a song titled “Bound” begins to play, which is also available down below. Still without officially releasing a single, Kanye has definitely taken on a unique approach to marketing this new album. Let us know your thoughts on it all comment section.
UPDATE: With the 13-second “Bound” snippet, the loyal fans over at KTT have already provided the original samples, which comes courtesy of the Ponderosa Twins Plus One and their 1971 single “Bound,” and Brenda Lee’s “Sweet Nothings.”
