JUNYA WATANABE MAN delivered its 2014 spring collection in Paris recently, drawing influence from vintage hiking gear, not to mention borrowing heavily from other outdoor cultures such as fishing and sailing. Tapping German bag specialist Seil Marschall for gear and consultation, this springtime edition of JUNYA WATANABE MAN sees a collection of utility jackets, shorts, shirts and vests all executed in the designer’s signature patchwork style. The collection openly relies on plaid, though also mixes materials such as suede and wool to add a certain variety to the lighthearted range.
