Up-and-coming instrumentalist Janine and the Mixtape presents her new project, Dark Mind. Hailing from New Zealand but now residing in Brooklyn, New York, the songstress delivers a thorough display of her vocal abilities as well as her other talents that include songwriting and producing in genre-bending context. Or to put it in her own words:

The EP is truly a piece of my heart and story. It’s about taking something horrible and turning it into something beautiful as way of healing and hopefully inspiring others. The sound of the EP takes from my love of R&B, Hip hop and etherial indie layers to create a soulful new wave R&B.
