Daughter - Youth

After amassing over 13 million hits between the random YouTube channels it’s been uploaded to, Daughter‘s fan favorite song “Youth” has finally received an official music video. The accompanying visual is extremely simple—band members Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella perform in a black room with spotlights shining down on them. Sometimes, though, a simple video is all that’s needed. Although the track was originally released in fall 2011 and has been a pivotal piece of the band’s steady rise to prominence, it has now been selected as the new single from the trio’s debut album, If You Leave, which is available now on iTunes. “Youth” will also be released as a limited edition split 7” backed by a new song, “Smoke,” on August 12.
