Talib Kweli - Prisoner of Conscious (Album Stream)

With his long-awaited and much-anticipated fifth studio album, Prisoner of Conscious, set to drop tomorrow May 7, Brooklyn veteran Talib Kweli offers up a stream of the complete album a day early. After getting the buzz building with the singles “Rocket Ships” featuring Busta Rhymes and the Miguel-assisted “Come Here,” we now get the chance to listen to the album in its entirety. Kweli states that he “wanted to make an album that really spoke to the lives that people are living,” and that is certainly he has a lyrical talent for. The album also features guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Marsha Ambrosius, Nelly, Curren$y and several others. Drawing inspiration from classic “hip-hop love albums” The Love Below and The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Prisoner of Conscious is sure to please.
