Released in 1989 is the state-of-the-art entry in New Balance‘s 990 series, the M996 is set to join the likes of the M574 as it receives the Revlite treatment for Fall 2013. Retaining the classic shape and look of the original, the hybrid release subtly incorporates the Revlite sole – a design that sheds weight and offers superior responsiveness over comparable foam-based cushioning systems – alongside the ENCAP stabilization system. Expect a range of colorways to be available when the M996 Revlite makes its debut at New Balance stockists as early as this July.
