Fans of Robert Rodriguez’s 2010 film, Machete, can look forward to the upcoming 2013 sequel due for release September 13, Machete Kills. Danny Trejo reprises his role as the titular Mexican ex-federal agent and supersized knife expert who is called on by the President of the United States (Charlie Sheen) to stop a madman arms dealer (Mel Gibson). And the big names don’t stop coming. Looking to follow up on the success of the ’80s B-movie parody, the film features an ensemble cast including Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas and Zoe Saldana, among others. Despite the increased scale of this project, principal photography purportedly wrapped in only 29 days.
