Later this summer, Denmark’s Jutland region will see the opening of the International School of Billund thanks to the small peninsula town’s most notable resident: LEGO. Giving back to the local community, LEGO’s new school will emphasize creativity and alternative forms of learning to that of the prototypical classroom environment, but will follow a fairly typical curriculum – so if you were hoping the school would solely create a legion of master LEGO builders, you’ll be sadly disappointed. Due to open this August, the school will first cater to those between the ages of three and seven, but is hoping to accommodate students up to the age of 16 by the year 2015. The inclusive school is currently accepting applications from across the globe.
