LEGO-building mastermind Chris McVeigh – having previously recreated everything from personal computers and rotary telephones to cheeseburgers and birthday cakes – has set his sights on the beloved Polaroid OneStep SX-70 for his latest project. This miniature reproduction of the instant camera measures approximately 2.5″ wide x 2.25″ tall x 3″ deep and is immediately unmistakeable thanks to its faithful color scheme, spot-on details and signature Polaroid rainbow stripe. Constructed out of 99 total pieces, the design even includes an “action” feature whereby a photo tile can be ejected by pushing the camera’s rear panel. McVeigh’s miniaturized LEGO take on the SX-70 can be pre-ordered online now for $37.50 USD while building instructions will soon accompany the retrospective look at the artist’s past works via his own personal web site.
