Kendrick Lamar Opposes Molly Trend

After speaking on Kanye West‘s “New Slaves,” Kendrick Lamar converses with Sway about Molly. If you watched Kendrick’s music video for “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” all the way until the end, you’ll remember the black screen with white letters that spelled out “Death to Molly” that appeared. Sway asked the Compton emcee what he meant by it. K-Dot explained he’s aiming to “keep hip-hop original and push away the corniness.” From his perspective, Molly is corny because of its false portrayal by artists and a bad trend because of the complacency it has set on hip-hop.
