J. Cole Explains Evolution of Writing Process & More

After talking with Fuse about his TLC collaboration on Born Sinner, J. Cole explains the difference between his process for creating Cole World: The Sideline Story and Born Sinner. Two of the main differences are how he selected tracks and his writing process. He then goes on to explain his duality. From being white and black to listening to underground and mainstream rap, Cole feels like he’s “existed in two worlds” and aims “to walk the line and represent the balance.”
