Volcom holds the title of the world’s first ever board brand to universally embrace, skate, snow and surf. In doing so, they’ve been pivotal in extending their reach beyond just the sport world and into the environmental through their V.Co-logical Series collection which contributes 1% of sales to environmentally-minded non-profits. This year, one of the brand’s pinnacle surf events, the Pipe Pro 2013 was subject to a new found approach that championed sustainability. Through this short documentary by Nathan Peracciny and the second ever Deep Blue Surfing Event, the Pipe Pro aims to pave the way for more sustainable and environmentally friendly events going forward.
