Panasonic‘s latest addition to the popular Lumix line is the recently announced DMC-GF6. Don’t let the compact size fool you – this interchangeable lens camera is packed full of new extras, including a 3-inch hinged touchscreen that can be flipped 180 degrees for self-portraits. With a nod to the portable lifestyle, the GF6 now features Wi-Fi with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, which allows the photographer to automatically send images to smartphone and tablet devices using the Panasonic Image App for iOS or Android. Thanks to the 16 megapixel Live MOS sensor, the camera captures near-professional image quality and shoots full HD video with stereo sound. Lightning-fast and responsive, the new model is ready to shoot a mere half-second after pressing power, while offering 19 image filter effects plus the ability to shoot in JPEG or RAW. The GF6 is expected to be available in May 2013, and will be offered in black, white, brown and red.
