Founded in 1977 by singer and songwriter Glenn Danzig, the Misfits are an American rock band often recognized as the founders of the horror punk subgenre. In June 1979, the group released the single “Horror Business,” which featured a skeletal figure on its cover that has since become the band’s mascot. This season, Supreme has come together with Danzig’s outfit for a small capsule collection featuring original Misfits artwork. Consisting of a trench coat, short-sleeve button-down, crewneck sweatshirt, long-sleeve tee, three graphic T-shirts, and a 5-panel hat, along with pins and a Bic lighter, the collection celebrates a band influential to punk rock, heavy metal, and alternative rock music of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The Misfits x Supreme 2013 spring/summer collection will be available in-store in NY, LA, London and online on April 18, and in Japan on April 20.
