Nametag & Nameless featuring Black Milk - Oxymoron
Two Michigan cities are well-repped when Detroit mic-checker Nametag and Flint beat-maker Nameless
Two Michigan cities are well-repped when Detroit mic-checker Nametag and Flint beat-maker Nameless come together, as evidenced by their latest audio release, “Oxymoron.” One of 19 tracks on the duo’s collaborative LP, For Namesake, Nameless’ production conjures up memories of J Dilla‘s much-loved sounds. And having gotten his start on Slum Village‘s—of which Dilla was a member—Dirty District compilations, it only makes sense that Nametag’s choppy flow would sit so nicely on top of the beat. Bringing the song around full-circle is the feature from Motor City heavyweight Black Milk. Stream the track below to get a taste of the sounds on For Namesake, which is available now on iTunes.
