Mike D and Ad-Rock Announce Beastie Boys Memoir

The two living members of the Beastie Boys, Michael “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz, have signed a deal with Spiegel & Grau of Random House Publishing Company to write a memoir scheduled for release sometime in 2015. The memoir will not take a conventional approach. During an interview with The New York Times, Julie Grau, the publisher of Spiegel & Grau, described the book as a “multidimensional experience.” The Times reported that the book will “be loosely structured as an oral history” and have a similar style to the magazine the Beastie Boys released in the 1990s called Grand Royal.
