The latest installment of VICE‘s The Collaborators from Ed Lachman and The Creators Project gathers insights from multitalented pianist/producer/songwriter Chilly Gonzales regarding his collaboration with Daft Punk for Random Access Memories. Typically not a big fan of collaborations, Gonzales states that, ultimately, an exception had to be made for artists who prove to be so key to the sound of the spirit of the age. Gonzales goes on to delve into some background on his creative process and his work on the album while also showing off on the keys multiple times throughout the piece. Stay tuned for more from The Collaborators and look for Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories to hit shelves on May 21.
