Ever since dropping the video for “Juice“ at the end of January, things have been on a fast ascent for Chicago’s own Chance The Rapper. With subsequent releases including the single “Acid Rain“ and videos for “So Good (Good Ass Intro),” ”NaNa,” and the latest drop, Sunday’s “Smoke Again“ featuring Ab-Soul, in addition to much-talked-about sets at SXSW and a guest spot on Joey Bada$$‘s recent track, “Wendy N Becky,” it seems as though everyone has been talking about the Chicago native and labeling him one to watch. It all culminates to today, April 30, the day that Chance, who just celebrated his 20th birthday, has engrained into the minds of people of all ages. It’s Acid Rap day, folks. A little over a year after the release of his first project, 2012’s 10 Day, the follow-up is here. Will it live up to the hype and expectations? That’s for you to decide.
