To shoot Stussy Deluxe‘s Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook, New York City photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis sojourned to Morocco, a place renowned in the fashion world for its perfect weather. The five-day, North African photoshoot took place during Morocco’s winter and spanned the ancient coastal city of Essaouira, Marrakesh, and an area of the Atlas Mountains, making this one of Stussy Deluxe’s more memorable lookbooks. It didn’t hurt that the weather resembled that of a SoCal summer, and the strikingly similar landscapes served as the perfect backdrop for the label’s brand of casual American sportswear — easy button-downs, bucket hats, varsity jackets and plenty of shorts.
