Detroit-based Shinola looks to revive the tradition of American-made watches with the Runwell. To accomplish the task, they’ve hired Ronda AG, a Swiss manufacturer of highly accurate watch movements to both train new watch specialists and build a new assembly facility. The first watch to come out of this partnership is the Runwell, available in a smooth silver 47mm or 40mm case with the company’s Argonite 1069 movement. Finished off with a vegetable-tanned Horween leather strap, this handsome looking watch is priced at $550 USD and will be limited to only 1,000 pieces when it releases in July.
