The Rolls Royce Wraith, set for a release later this year, features environmental sensors that use global positioning technology to determine which gears are to be used on a particular stretch of road. This feature is so advanced that it can calculate which gear of the 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox is to be used even at a particular corner. Other features of the car include a full infotainment system, heads-up display and voice-command support. Technology for cars seems to be steering drivers of the future into more responsible decisions, yet in some cases may intrude on the driver’s actual sense of discretion. However, this little assist from Rolls Royce is more than welcome and, hopefully, a sign of things to come. The Wraith comes with a modest €245,000 EUR (approximately $318,745 USD) price tag.
