Outlier Supermarine Shell
Outlier’s Supermarine Shell may not be waterproof by industry standards, but it’s not a plastic bag

Outlier‘s Supermarine Shell may not be waterproof by industry standards, but it’s not a plastic bag either. Made entirely of cotton, the label’s Supermarine cotton is a 21st century edit to a nearly forgotten World War II fabric. Breathable, highly water-resistant and completely windproof, the fabric is made from only the longest staple Egyptian cotton fibers that, woven together, swell up and seal off when exposed to water. Combined with a durable C6 water-repellant treatment, the result is a jacket that will keep wearers dry for hours in the rain without the clammy feeling usually associated with synthetic laminates. And, this being an Outlier garment, taped seams, a fully adjustable hood, zip ventilated sleeves, and a drawcord waist feature in a clean, modern design. Outlier’s Supermarine Shell is available now online.
