Mount Kimbie 'Cold Spring Fault Less Youth' Release Details

As a follow up to Crooks & Lover, Mount Kimbie will be releasing their second full-length project for Warp. After producing a list of dedicated EPs for Hot Flush, the London-based duo steps away from the comfort of bedroom-type production and level to dancier, more animated directions. Its hit single “Made To Stay” is perhaps a good example, as a stringent drum pattern flutters decisively before the duo’s enchanting vocal meld through courageously. Running on a tempo recognizable to any stripped-back Detroit house track, yet composed with drafty, indie qualities, this single is an exciting welcoming to what the duo is yet to offer. Cold Spring Fault Less Youth will inevitably display new directions in sound as the duo notes:
“Two years is a long time, tastes change, what you want out of your life changes, and so on. Naturally, how we want to sound has changed too.”
