The latest set of limited edition stamps from the United States Postal Service features one of the more distinctly American offerings to the automotive industry – the muscle car. Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the USPS’s “Muscle Cars” series includes five classics – the 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, and the 1970 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda. The release of the limited edition stamps is also accompanied by a slew of memorabilia like framed collections and uncut press sheets. The “Muscle Cars” Forever collection launched on February 22 and is now available online ahead of the most American of all races – this weekend’s Daytona 500.
