M.I.A. Claims the Grammys Ripped Her Off

As one of the artists that don’t shy away from using their Twitter account to make strong statements, M.I.A. has informed her followers that she will be “KEEPING A STEAL LOG THIS YEAR” on Tumblr to document the many ways she is being ripped off. The controversial artist has also found her first subject, the Grammys. She posted an interesting collage (located above) which compares her laser-box stage backdrop from a January show in Australia to the one Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Sting, and Damian and Ziggy Marley played in front of during the Bob Marley tribute at this year’s award show. Along with this interesting image, she sent out following words.

“MIA VS THE SYSTEM. My ideas came from my life. My set was based on Tamil Hindu temple. Not Bob Marley.” She added, “If u wanna see the real thing or get it first, come to a M.I.A. show!”
