With confusion running rampant over exactly how the Harlem Shake went from a necessarily uptown Manhattan phenomenon to something your aunt includes in the monthly family newsletter, Azealia Banks introduces this new video of her take on the admittedly catchy beat. Coming hot on the heels of her dispute with Baauer over permission to use the track, the video is sure to please fans who were unable to catch the song before it was pulled. Triumphantly proclaiming her Harlem background throughout the song, Banks has never sounded more crisp, though her flow may have been briefly overshadowed by her quick rise to ‘fashion icon’ status in 2012.
