Swiss watchmaker RJ-Romain Jerome has released a skeletal-like timepiece dubbed “Orbital Skylab” in celebration of NASA’s 40th anniversary of its first space station. Featuring a stainless steel casing that measures 44mm in diameter, the aesthetic combines sleek lines and intricate details to mimic the original space station and its revolutionary design. Powered by a Swiss automatic Romain Jerome caliber RJ004-M with 28,800 vph, this unique automatic offers 48 hours of precise movement. Black and satin-brushed hands coated in SuperLuminova C1 blue, alongside a black leather calf-skin strap round out the look. Available in three options – “Speed Metal”, ”Heavy Metal” and “Red” – each model is limited to 99 pieces and retails for $16,950 USD at select RJ-Romain Jerome retailers worldwide.
