The Nike Kobe 9 Elite recently touched down at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles with the man himself on hand to introduce it to those in attendance. The exhibition featured a lineup of previous iterations of the Kobe as part of the Prelude Pack as well as a look at the design process behind the high-cut Elite, which incorporates many of Nike’s trademark technologies including Flywire, Flyknit, and a Lunarlon cushioning system. Aside from the embellished golden interpretation of the Kobe logo adorning the wall, the fitting centerpiece for the event was none other than the Elite’s lead model – the brightly colored “Masterpiece” colorway.
