In 2006 the legendary producer left behind a legacy that forever lived on. His innovation of unique soundscapes and vinyl sampling inspired a generation of hip-hop that still remains as apparent in today’s records — nearly eight years after his unfortunate passing. Fortunate for fans, J Dilla had so many beats that never hit the public, and it seems every year we get blessed with some unreleased gems. Last year, his mother took some of those unreleased beats and dropped an extremely rare 12-track Dillatroit EP vinyl that was very hard to obtain.
