Seemingly a match made in heaven, Leica has teamed up with renowned art gallery Gagosian on the Leica X2 Gagosian Edition. With a history of partnering with brands to produce unique limited edition cameras, Leica looks to Gagoisan for its latest collaboration. The camera features black paint splotches and dots all over the white leather panel. Inside, the camera boasts an APS-C format professional CMOS image sensor with 16.5 megapixels, and a 24mm f/2.8 ASPH lens. A pop-up flash also allows shooting in different conditions. Handmade in Leica’s German headquarters, the robust all-metal camera is as much a piece of art as it is a functional piece of equipment. Limited to 100 units, the Leica X2 Gagosian Edition is now available from Gagosian’s online store for $3,000 USD.
