Lamborghini Ends Gallardo Production

After a great 10 years of production, Lamborghini has brought the Gallardo’s run to a close. The mid-engine supercar made its first appearance as part of the carmaker’s 40th anniversary at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show and was marked by a its aluminum space frame and powerful V10 engine. Over the course of its lifetime, a full 14,022 Gallardos were produced including 32 special editions, making it Lamborghini’s most successful model. The last of the these special editions, the LP 570-4 Spyder Performante has unexpectedly been purchased by a private collector.
