Stemming from skate and street culture, Los Angeles-based clothing label Ambig recently extended its interests into a video-led artist series. Its first initiatives features artist and illustrator Michael Hsiung. Here, we learn about the fledgling artist’s process and philosophy — how he balances a traditional Chinese upbringing with the creative influences Los Angeles has to offer. Hsiung also shares with us his career decisions, having given up a role as a private investigator for his current passion, and explaining why a 9-to-5 job just isn’t fitting for him.
