Vertu follows up the Ti with its second Android-powered luxury smartphone: the latest edition of the Constellation. Powered by a customized take on Android 4.2 and sporting a calf leather-wrapped Grade 5 titanium body, the new Constellation boasts the biggest piece of rugged sapphire glass to ever grace a smartphone. While the design isn’t any kind of major breakthrough – the phone comes powered by a Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1.7GHz processor and features 32GB of built-in storage and a 13-megapixel camera – the luxurious exterior, Kaspersky anti-virus app, Silent Circle encrypted VoIP calls and ability to subscribe to iPass’s unlimited global internet will likely set the Constellation apart from the pack. Slightly more affordable than the Ti, the English-made phone will be available Vertu boutiques and Tourneau stores later this month in five different colorways for $5,950 USD.
