A week before the release of The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem unleashes his new Rihanna-assisted song “The Monster” on SiriusXM’s Shade 45. The song marks the duo’s third collaboration after Eminem’s 2010 hit, “Love the Way You Lie” and “Part II” of the song (“Love the Way You Lie (Part II)”), which was featured on Rihanna’s Loud album. On their newest song, Eminem raps about the inner monster haunting him while RiRi embraces hers.
“I’m friends with the monster that’s under my bed/ Get along with the voices inside of my head/ You’re trying to save me/ Stop holding your breath/ And you think I’m crazy/ Yeah, you think I’m crazy/ Well that’s not fair.”
The standard edition of MMLP2, executive produced by Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin, will also feature Kendrick Lamar, Skylar Grey and fun.’s Nate Ruess. The deluxe edition will feature five songs including features by Sia and Jamie N. Commons. MMLP2 is out November 5.
