Revered, oft imitated and timeless, Stone Island has a storied history as one of the original ‘casual sportswear’ brands. The Italian company recently announced the launch of the StoneIsland30.com, a website dedicated to the Stone Island 30 exhibition. The exhibition, which occurred in Florence back in June, celebrates Stone Island’s 30 years of commitment to “history, research, and dedication”–founding qualities that have undoubtedly contributed to the brand’s success. Highlights of the exhibit were three special commemorative items, as well as a book which chronicled the design aesthetic over the time. The full website will launch in the coming weeks, but the trailer gives an appropriate whistle-whetter of things to come.
