OriginalFake to Close Down This Year

After seven successful years, OriginalFake has decided to close its doors. Graffiti legend/artist KAWS and brainchild behind the label announced the news on his official Instagram account, while thanking the WonderWall team for the interior store design in Aoyama, Tokyo, the excellent work from Medicom Toy and Nexus7, and the continued support from the fashion community. OriginalFake had produced a plethora of highly successful menswear releases collaborating with fashion icons NEIGHBORHOOD, A Bathing Ape and Nexus7, countless Medicom Toy collectible figures, many of which were consistently sold out, as well as a near cult-like following for their original collections sold exclusively at the flagship store in Tokyo and official retailers across Japan and overseas. The brand has plans to finish the current season before terminating in May.
