The words “LOVE ME” can be found scrawled innocently on mailboxes, billboards and other subtle facets of daily life in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The wall art, which is actually created by New York-based Curtis Kulig, is a small nuance of urban life in these places. Kulig takes his trademark work to new levels in a collaboration with Vans for Spring 2013. Taking the Authentic and the Classic Slip-On alongside the women’s Sk8-Hi Slim as canvases, Kulig decked out each silhouette in custom red and white colorways with “LOVE ME” graphic detailing throughout. The special edition shoes are due for an official launch at retailers, rather fittingly, on February 1–just in time for Valentine’s Day.
