But it would be a mistake to forget songs like “Rubberband Man” and “ASAP” that solidified him as an artist created by and for the street. Luckily, Tip hasn’t forgotten that either. With his newest release, the King brings it back to his roots in a major way with a beat produced by the renowned DJ Toomp and lyrics that sound like they could have been saved from the Trap Muzik or Urban Legend days. Appropriately, this one is titled “Trap Back Jumpin.” There’s no official word as to whether or not it will make it onto Tip’s upcoming eighth album, Trouble Man, but for now enjoy by hitting play on the stream below.
