Raekwon's First-Ever "Purple Tape" Re-Released Via Get On Down Records

If hopping on eBay and paying through the nose for Raekwon‘s debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… in the extremely rare original purple cassette tape isn’t your idea of a good time, Get On Down Records has you covered. The label will soon be releasing a collector’s edition box set of the legendary “Purple Tape,” this time housed in a premium, glass-top “piano lacquer” display embossed with the Raekwon logo. In addition to the actual Purple Tape itself (with full audio from the original album), the set contains original cassette artwork, a 32-page hardcover liner notes book, and original artwork from the album’s promotional singles.
