Canon has officially announced its new flagship compact digital camera for 2012, the PowerShot

Canon has officially announced its new flagship compact digital camera for 2012, the PowerShot S110. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor the S100, the slim point-and-shoot retains the industry-standard customizable lens ring, compact size, 24-120mm equivalent focal length and fast f/2.0 aperture lens. Customers however will be delighted to see welcoming additions such as an updated and improved 12MP sensor, a capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch, and Wi-Fi connectivity for instant uploads to social networking sites or transfers to smartphones and tablets. Releasing in both black and white renditions, the S110 will be available in October and priced at $449 USD.
